Social impact components [P5.S4.P3]

AIM: To appropriately communicate the knowledge from university to industries in order to accelerate the innovation process in different fields as Electronics, Physics, Biotechnology and Environmental Engineering. In order to give support to this general goal, the project considers the definition of an adequate university strategy supported by workshops and boot camp with the participation of relevant stakeholders from the academia, industry, government. Moreover, these activities will be linked with the appropriate diffusion and also exploiting the “co-social” innovation hub.

OBJECTIVES:
- Creation of a co-work and innovation challenge for industry to improve the relation between universities and companies. The main goal is to address problems from SME’s and large companies by academics from UC/UTFSM
- Design models for the identification of opportunities by creating a boot camp for companies, students and research. The joined work will be focused in the identification of problems, challenges and opportunities by following the logic proposed by Ulwick (2008)
- Design and implementation of a collaboration space where the different actors gather together for the discussion and identification of opportunities. The innovation-place will be used as a formal mechanism to incentivize the real communication of participants. Moreover, this space will be available to be used by hub’ users
