A New Engineering Education: Discovery, Design and Implementation [P1.S1]

AIM: Develop new capacities and articulate existing ones to transform engineering education in a matter of engineering research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. These capacities should lead to new discoveries and the design, implementation, measurement, and continuous feedback of new methods for engineering education (teaching and learning) in order to improve the learning experience of current students and their proactive mood toward learning.
At the core of this is turning the teaching-and-learning experience as a research subject by itself. It is also a change in paradigm for educating toward proactive students that will continuously face an increasingly fast changing world and will require effective skills and competences in innovation and entrepreneurship.
This project in engineering education will be tackled as a Consortium and its focus will be in designing new engineering teaching and learning experiences, research and discovery in engineering education and use engineering education as a source for innovation, develop and implement innovative technologies for engineering T&L, and prepare and train scholars to fundamentally improve the way students learn in engineering.
